CCV Stars Club Soccer will be hosting its annual tournament January 14-16, 2022 at Phoenix's Reach 11 Sports Complex & various CCV Sports Fields. The tournament will include nearly 400 U7-U15 boys and girls club teams from around the state and southwest region. CCV Stars intends to enter select Allstar teams comprised of players from the Recreational & Competitive Soccer programs.
Team Selection: Unlike the first come-first served basis of Recreational & Competitive Soccer, players will have to try out and be selected for these teams based on birth year. That does mean that some players may not be able to participate on the tournament teams. Each coach will hold 2 tryouts. Tryouts will be held 11/15 & 11/17; tryout map and details will be provided after registration.
Time Commitment: Teams will train 2-3 times per week to prepare for the tournament, including some Saturday training sessions or scrimmages. Players will be excused from any training over the Christmas break if they have other family commitments.
- WHO: Boys & girls born 2012-2015 who played on a fall 2021 CCV Stars rec or competitive team (exceptions must be approved by Stars Lead Pastor)
- WHAT: Eligible players can tryout for Allstar teams that will train for and compete in the CCV Stars Champions Cup club soccer tournament January 14-16
- WHEN: Tryouts will be held on Monday, November 15th & Wednesday, November 17th
- Players are encouraged to attend both but not required
- Born 2014-2015: 5:00-6:00pm
- Born 2012-2013: 6:15-7:30pm
- WHERE: CCV Laveen Sports Fields (detailed tryout location will be emailed prior to tryouts and available at Stars info tent)
- COST: no cost to tryout
- Additional cost of $65 for players who make the team includes: two new game jerseys, socks, five weeks of training (including goalkeeping specific sessions), and the team tournament fee which includes a minimum of three games
